An unforgettable piece of late 1960s–1970s glamour and maximalism.

This dramatic Alice of California caftan captures the era’s fascination with bold color, graphic pattern, and flowing silhouettes designed for movement and presence. Done in an electric chartreuse palette with saturated psychedelic striping and geometric motifs, it feels deeply connected to the jet-set resort wear and hostess fashion that defined the period.

During the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s, caftans and hostess gowns became symbols of relaxed luxury and expressive femininity. Originally inspired by garments from North Africa and the Middle East, the silhouette was embraced by designers and socialites alike for its effortless elegance and dramatic visual impact. Pieces like this were worn everywhere from glamorous at-home gatherings to vacation resorts, art-filled apartments, and candlelit dinner parties.
