Changing the world, one conversation at a time.
Tea Time with Tara isn’t your typical feel-good podcast—and I wouldn’t want it to be.
Hosted by me, Tara Caban Rivera, this show is where unfiltered meets unforgettable. It's messy, it's real, and it’s rooted in the kind of honest conversations that make people pause, laugh, cry, and maybe even rethink a few things. I’ve lived through a lot, and so have my guests—and we’re not here to sugarcoat any of it.
We talk about the hard stuff: mental health, trauma, addiction, chronic illness, heartbreak, family dysfunction, sex, gender, race, and everything in between. If it’s part of the human experience, it’s on the table. Some episodes are deep and heavy, others are hilariously chaotic—but all of them are unapologetically real.
This is a space where imperfection is the standard and vulnerability is power. Sometimes we ramble. Sometimes we swear. Sometimes we go off the rails. But always, we show up as our full, complicated selves—and we invite you to do the same.
Whether you’re here for the tea, the healing, the humor, or just a place to feel less alone—you’re in the right spot. Pull up a chair, pour yourself something strong (tea, wine, whiskey—no judgment), and join me for conversations that are raw, bold, and maybe even life-changing.
Welcome to Tea Time with Tara. It’s not always pretty, but it’s always real.
I’m Tara Caban Rivera—host of Tea Time with Tara, unapologetic truth-teller, fierce mama bear, and your favorite tough-love bestie with a heart of gold.
People who don’t know me well tend to see the armor first—sharp wit, strong opinions, no time for BS. But if you stick around, you'll find someone who will love you harder than most and show up for you when it really counts. I don’t sugarcoat, but I do care—deeply. My compassion runs just as deep as my fire.
I’ve lived through hell more than once—childhood abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, chronic illness, mental health battles—and I’m still here. Diagnosed with ADHD in 2022, psoriatic arthritis in 2023, and fibromyalgia in 2024, my body and mind have both been through the wringer. But instead of breaking me, it all made me realer, tougher, and more determined to create something meaningful.
That’s where Tea Time with Tara was born—from a need to say the things people are afraid to say out loud and to create a space where the hard conversations actually happen. I don’t do fake. I do healing, honesty, messy truths, big feelings, and a little humor to get us through the heavy stuff.
I’m not here to be perfect—I’m here to be real. And I’m here to remind you that you can be both soft and strong, broken and whole, hurting and healing—all at the same time.
So whether you’re here to laugh, cry, vent, or just feel a little less alone, welcome. You’re exactly where you need to be.
